These two 2-hour classes will teach you how to understand and address your smoking history and routine. You will learn about the benefits of quitting, different ways to quit, withdrawal symptoms, smoking "triggers", helpful medicines and the importance of selecting a quit date. Each person will create a personal quit plan and review coping techniques in a small group setting. After completing the classes, you will receive a Certification of Completion that will allow you to request medicines such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (including the nicotine patch, the nicotine gum or the nicotine lozenge) to help with withdrawal symptoms.
