Fall 2022 General Nutrition Series

Good nutritional habits are the foundation you need for an active, healthy, and happy life. Yet we are surrounded by bad nutritional food options almost every day. Eating foods high in sugar, preservatives, and unhealthy fats can drain your energy and cause significant health issues.

Our nutrition series is designed to help members learn the skills to make smart food choices that can protect against chronic diseases, strengthen your immune system, avoid weight gain, and improve your mood.

We’ve made it easier than ever to participate in a class by offering them online and during your lunch hour. Check out the classes offered between now and the holiday season and pre-register today.

Class Schedule

Diabetes is a chronic disease that causes blood sugar levels to rise above average.  It affects more than 34 million people in the U.S., and 1 in 4 don't even know they have it.  Although diabetes has no cure, prediabetes can be reversed.

If you discover that you or someone you know may be at risk for developing diabetes, our Diabetes Prevention class may help.  Join us on August 23, 2022, from Noon to 1:00 PM.

Topics covered will include:

  • Simple, straightforward nutrition tips to help stop diabetes and prevent pre-diabetes from becoming full-blown diabetes.
  • Key nutrients such as vitamin K and magnesium in managing diabetes and how to find them in food.
  • SUGAR!  How much is too much? How to find the hidden sugars in our foods.
