Chiropractic - for Classic and Preferred Plans
For members with Classic or Preferred Plans, VHP covers you for Chiropractic Services when your Primary Care Physician (PCP) prescribes it as medically necessary. Your PCP must process a referral before you receive services. Once approved by VHP, you will receive a copy of the authorization so you can receive the authorized visits with a VHP Network Chiropractor. If you seek services without a referral from your PCP or seek services at a non-VHP provider, you may be responsible for all charges.
Coverage is limited to a maximum of twenty-four (24) visits per Calendar Year. No prior authorization required for the first 12 visits by VHP Providers. Prior authorization is required at 13th visit. You will be asked to pay a $10.00 co-payment at the time of each visit.
