At Valley Health Plan (VHP), we are committed to providing high-quality health insurance to our members. NCQA Health Plan Accreditation

In January 2025, VHP received the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Health Plan Accreditation for three years. This is a well-respected award given to health plans that meet strict standards for quality and service. NCQA examines many areas, such as:

  • Quality of Care:  We work hard to make sure our members get the best care, including regular check-ups, treatment for long-term health issues, and support for overall wellness.
  • Access to Care:  We make sure that our members can easily and quickly get the care they need, whether it is for emergency services, regular doctor visits, or mental health care.
  • Member Satisfaction:  We focus on giving members a positive experience by offering clear communication and customer service, making it easy for them to use their health benefits.
NCQA Health Equity Accreditation

In December 2023, VHP earned the NCQA Health Equity Accreditation for three years. This award recognizes our efforts to reduce health differences and make sure all members have access to the same quality of care, no matter the background. With this accreditation, we show that we:

  • Consider Social Factors:  We understand that things like income, education, and environment can impact health. Our programs help people from all backgrounds get the care they need.
  • Promote Equal Healthcare for All:  We work hard to ensure that all of our members, no matter their race, gender, or where they come from, have the same chance to receive excellent healthcare.
  • Create Inclusive Practices:  Our services and policies are designed to meet the needs of all members, making sure no one is left out.
AAAHC Accreditation

In August 2023, VHP received the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) accreditation for three years. VHP initially received the accreditation in 2017 and successfully renewed in 2023. This award is given to health organizations that meet top healthcare standards in places such as clinics and doctors’ offices. It shows that VHP’s network of doctors and clinics offer excellent care in:

  • Outpatient Centers:  Our providers meet high standards for patient safety and care. Members get quality care in our network of clinics and doctor’s offices, whether it is for regular visits or specialized treatments.
  • Commitment to Improvement:  VHP and our providers are always looking for ways to improve care and the patient experience. 
  • Patient-Centered Care:  VHP and our providers focus on offering personalized care that meets the needs of our members.
