Valley Health Plan (VHP) designs our health plans with you in mind. As the only locally-based, not-for-profit, commercial health plan, we are proud to have served the people of Santa Clara County for almost 40 years. Recently, VHP expanded our service area and is now offering our high-quality, affordable plans to individuals and families in San Benito and Monterey Counties. How VHP's Networks Work

Valley Health Plan (VHP) contracts with multiple Medical Groups, Independent Physician Associations (IPA), Community Clinics, and Independent Providers to provide high-quality care to our Members. Our four product lines are Employer Group - Classic,  Employer Group - Preferred, Covered California, and Individual and Family (IFP). Different Provider Networks have been created specifically for each product line. When a Member chooses their Primary Care Provider (PCP), they are assigned to the Network to which their PCP belongs, and primary and specialty care is provided within that Network when possible.
