Breast Cancer Awareness

Everyone is at risk for breast cancer.  The more a doctor knows about you, the more they can help you with decisions.

Reduce your risk for breast cancer by following recommended screening guidelines. Early detection screening includes:
  • Monthly breast self-exams
  • Scheduling regular clinical breast exams
  • Mammograms
Make an appointment with your doctor or OB-Gyn to talk about your breast cancer risk and which screenings may be right for you.  Being open and honest about yourself can help you doctor give you the care you deserve.

Contact the VHP Health Education Department at 408.885.3490 or health.education@vhp.sccgov.org for more information.
