Christmas in the Park
There is something about the holidays that bring out the best in us. Whether it is lending a helping hand to a stranger or making a donation to a local charity, people throughout our community are embracing the spirit of giving.
Valley Health Plan (VHP) is also doing its part to make the season special. As a long-time sponsor of the Christmas in the Park celebration in Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park, we are helping strengthen our community. Every year Christmas in the Park donates around $200,000 to charities that serve people in need or work to cure illness and disease. Those donations directly impact the health and well-being of our entire community.
In the spirit of giving, Valley Health Plan is gifting parts of our Christmas in the Park sponsorship to some of the organizations that work year-round to keep you healthy. This year’s holiday display will feature trees decorated by the Indian Health Center, Gardner Ethnic Wellness Clinics, the Downtown Youth Wellness Center, the VHF (Valley Health Foundation), and the County of Santa Clara Departments of Equity & Social Justice, Office of LGBTQ Affairs, the Registrar of Voters, Behavioral Health, and Healthy Cities Program. These colorful displays represent Valley Health Plan’s commitment to better health for all people in our communities. We realize that health coverage is only one part of community health. To ensure all our people get the support and services they need to thrive, we must all work together.
As you and your family enjoy the Christmas in the Park festivities, we encourage you to think of ways to serve our community. Whether it is volunteering, donating to a charity, or just giving someone who is struggling a hug, the greatest gift you can give is you.
Valley Health Plan staff will be at Christmas in the Park December 21-23 to answer questions about your health coverage options and to hand out some great stocking stuffers.
