New Law, American Rescue Plan
President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 into law on March 11, 2021. Under the new law, many people who buy their own health insurance may now be eligible to receive tax credits to reduce their monthly premiums. The new law provides financial assistance to help people get economic relief and ensures eligible consumers, at any income level, do not pay more than 8.5 percent of their overall household income. To find additional details about the American Rescue Plan or find out more about tax credits offered to you, contact Covered California at 1.800.300.1506 (toll-free) or visit www.coveredca.com.
