Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) and its health centers are owned and operated by the County of Santa Clara. VHP Members choosing a Valley Health Center PCP will receive their specialty care through Valley Specialty Center at SCVMC.

Specialists

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) patients will be referred by their Primary Care Provider or other approved VHP Plan Provider to see a Network Specialist. VHP Members choosing the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) will receive their specialty care through Valley Specialty Center at SCVMC. Once approved, you will be given information on how to schedule an appointment with the specialist.

Laboratory

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) patients are covered within VHP Network Laboratories. To find the Laboratories available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, choose your type of plan, and choose Laboratory on the drop-down menu. 

Pharmacy

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) patients are covered within VHP Plan Pharmacy Network. To find the Pharmacies available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, choose your type of plan, and choose Pharmacy on the drop-down menu.

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) patients are covered within VHP Network Plan Hospitals. SCVM patients are covered within VHP Plan Hospital Network. To find the Pharmacies available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, choose your type of plan, and choose Hospital on the drop-down menu.

In the event of an emergency and you cannot safely come to a Plan hospital, you should call 911 or seek care at the closest hospital.
