The Open Enrollment period for Covered California or Individual and Family (IFP) health coverage is from November 1, 2022, to January 15, 2023. This is the only time people under the age of 65 can purchase a health plan without meeting certain exceptions.
Valley Health Plan (VHP) is dedicated to helping you get the health coverage you need. With VHP's network of local providers, you get the right care at the right place from the right people.
At Valley Health Plan, we care about you and your family as well as care for you.
Valley Health Plan is different than the other health plans you can choose because we are locally based and not-for-profit. Unlike other plans, any profits from your premiums get invested back into the plan to offer you better services and benefits. Serving our communities for almost 40 years, we know our providers and understand your needs.
VHP offers a growing network of primary and specialty care providers, free health education classes focused on nutrition and fitness, and a variety of chronic disease prevention and management programs. We also think you will love the ease and convenience of filing your prescriptions at our national, regional, and select local network pharmacies. With Walgreens, Safeway, Albertsons, Costco, and Raley's in the network, you are never far from a prescription, even if you are on vacation.
Covered California is the state's official marketplace for high-quality, low-cost health coverage. Valley Health Plan is proud to be a qualified health plan offering Covered California plans in Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Clara Counties. See how much you can save with one of VHP's quality health plans with financial help from Covered California.

With increased financial assistance from Covered California, even more people are eligible for financial assistance. Already have a plan? You might be able to get the same plan at a lower cost. You’ll know for sure when you apply with Covered California.
Have questions about Open Enrollment? VHP will be at various upcoming events in our community to provide answers and help get covered. It is only natural for VHP to be at local events in Santa Clara County, Monterey County, and San Benito County because we live in the same communities as you. Look for us at your favorite cultural celebrations, local farmers' markets, and more. We invite anyone to check out our booth, get some great free stuff, and learn more about how VHP can get you covered during Open Enrollment.
