Physicians Medical Group of San Jose (PMGSJ)

Physicians Medical Group of San Jose (PMGSJ) provides primary care for adults and children. VHP Members choosing a PMGSJ PCP will receive their specialty care through PMGSJ Specialists.

Specialists

Physicians Medical Group of San Jose (PMGSJ) patients will be referred by their Primary Care Provider or other approved VHP Plan Provider to see a Network Specialist. VHP Members choosing PMGSJ will receive their specialty care through PMGSJ Specialists. Once approved, you will be given information on how to schedule an appointment with the specialist.

Laboratory

PMGSJ patients should receive their lab work through Quest Diagnostics. To find the Laboratories available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, choose your type of plan, your network, and choose Laboratory on the drop-down menu. 

Pharmacy

PMGSJ patients are covered within VHP Plan Pharmacy Network. To find the Pharmacies available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, and click Pharmacy Provider List.  

​Urgent care locations

PMGSJ patients are covered within VHP Network Urgent Care Locations. PMGSJ patients are covered within VHP Plan Urgent Care Network. To find the urgent care locations available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, choose your type of plan, and choose Urgent Care on the drop-down menu. 

​​Emergency care

PMGSJ patients are covered within VHP Network Plan Hospitals. PMGSJ patients are covered within VHP Plan Hospital Network. To find the hospitals available through VHP, go to the Provider Search, choose your type of plan, and choose Hospital on the drop-down menu.

In the event of an emergency and you cannot safely come to a Plan hospital, you should call 911 or seek care at the closest hospital.
